Wednesday evening pair games will be scored as a handicapped event except the STaC game or other special ACBL wide game which will be stratified per ACBL requirements. Handicapped scoring gives newer players more opportunity to earn masterpoint awards. I will try to pre-duplicate boards and post hand records online every week.
In General we will have a club championship or charity game on the second Wednesday evening each month. The final Wednesday evening will be reserved for team games. Now thru April 2012 the monthly team game will be a GNT Qualifier.

Play at night – Keep the tips!
Yes that’s right if you come out to play the Wednesday Evening game you’ll be able to take advantage of some of our bridge clubs’ most successful players as they present FREE BRIDGE TIPS to you before the start of regular pairs games.
If you missed these sessions in January you missed Neil Hunter on end plays and Richard McCoombs on games theory and trying to suss out what the other guy is thinking.
There is a great line up for February
Feb. 1 Mary Dougherty
Feb. 8 Dee Brenner
Feb. 15 Art McHaffie
Feb. 22 Anita Carlson
I think these four players combine for over 12,000 masterpoints! How many have they won off of you? Come find out ways to take some back.
The general idea is each tip begins about 20 minutes before game time and is meant for anyone interested in improving their game. It is hoped you’ll stay after for the game which we try to always start promptly by 7PM and to finish at about 10PM.
There are no tips before the end of the month team games since those tend to be fairly busy.
Come to the Wednesday night game. It’s an opportunity to get a free tip, to play up and to really improve your game. It’s no coincidence that many ‘newer’ players who play Wednesday nights also do well at sectional and regional events. Come play and find out why.
